- i’ve had a crush on you all year. i just never said anything because you’re so great that you intimidate me.
- you’re what i’m going to want in 10 years. when i grow up.
oh, how i loathe it all. thank you for spreading the truth.

It SOUNDS like it should be a nice thing. In truth, it just makes us want to punch things.
Erin and MeLissa, if we’d met 5 years ago…
…then the last five years of our lives would be exactly the same as they are right now.

“I don’t want to ruin our friendship,” is essentially what was said to me last week. I’m trying to not let that ruin our friendship, but I’ve found that now it’s not nearly as fun hanging out with this person after knowing this. We do (well, did) just about everything together. From the outside looking in, one might have thought we were already dating.
I once got a message that said “I really like you, and if I wasn’t dating my boyfriend, I would date you”… priceless
I’m both relieved and, as would be expected, horrified that girls are just as likely to destroy lives with empty complements. I just think “her poor boyfriend…sad day for him…”
Erin, I would like to date you. I think you are the best.
